Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells Dementia Friendly Communities will be hosting a Dementia Information Day on Saturday 23 May, at Southborough Civic Centre, as part of Dementia Action Week 2026.

The event will bring together a range of local businesses and organisations offering support, guidance and practical information for people living with dementia, as well as their carers, families and friends.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus, available throughout the day. This immersive experience helps people understand what living with dementia can feel like, encouraging greater empathy and awareness, and highlighting how small changes to environments and everyday practices can make a real difference. This is expected to be very popular, so places should be booked in advance by emailing kath.ireland@mccarthyandstone.co.uk.

There will also be live entertainment from the Musical Memories Choir, a local sing‑along choir created specifically for older people, including those living with memory issues.

Café 137, part of the Chatty Café Scheme, will be open throughout the event, serving refreshments and offering a welcoming space to connect with others.

Date: Saturday 23 May
Time: 10.00am – 3.00pm
Location: Southborough Civic Centre
