Stuart Burnop

Stuart is a qualified accountant, having spent most of the 1990's working in Business Recovery with Coopers & Lybrand in London. Thereafter he joined Commercial Union for two years and immediately before joining Buss Murton, Stuart spent time in the IT industry working to attract Venture Capital funding in the dot.com boom.
He was appointed Chief Executive of Buss Murton in October 2003 and has latterly become one of the first law firm equity partners in the UK who is not a solicitor. The firm has been one of the first to utilise the Legal Disciplinary Practice provisions under the 2007 Legal Services Act, which includes the ability to bring non-lawyers into the partnership.
Stuart is married to Helen and they live locally in Matfield with their children. He mostly enjoys cricket and golf.
