Having read History at King's College London, Ed then spent a year based in Cape Town, trawling across Southern Africa working as a travel writer. In 2005 he returned to his studies and gained an LLB from the College of Law in London.

In September 2007 Ed returned to his home county of Kent to embark on a legal career as a trainee at Buss Murton. He qualified in September 2009 and has joined the Private Client department, dealing with Wills, Trusts and Contentious Probates, as well as residential property matters. Ed works closely with Alex Cuppage.

His hobbies include golf and cricket (to a disappointingly low standard) and he is heavily involved in working for a charity based in Rwanda - an area of Africa in which he has spent a lot of time.
