The Success of Will Aid

This proved to be a great success in raising awareness of the need to have a valid and up to date Will and in raising much needed funds to support the work of the charities linked to the campaign.
The following is an extract from an email we received this week from Shirley Marsland the Campaign Manager for Will Aid:
"Thank you so much for participating in Will Aid 2009. I am delighted to have received donations to the value of £1,930.00 from your firm. We really appreciate the tremendous help you have given us.
I am very excited to report that, for the first time ever, we have received over £1m in donations and Gift Aid. This is a marvellous achievement, which I know represents a huge amount of effort from all the solicitors who have taken part. But that's not all. Will Aid will makers have also pledged over £5m in legacies which will be a valuable support for the work of the charities in years to come. Thank you so much for all the help you have given Will Aid. The money you have raised will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people around the world."
Will Aid supports the work of ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Help the Aged, NSPCC, Save the Children UK, Sightsavers International, SCIAF (Scotland) Trocaire (NI).
