Management buy back from Humberts
In 2006, we were instructed on the sale of three separate businesses by their proprietors to Humberts who were creating a national chain of estate agents and related business.
In 2008, Humberts were experiencing difficulties and on behalf of the previous owners, we made offers to Humberts to buy them back. Negotiations were protracted, information from the vendors was slow in coming through and in the end,everything had to be concluded very quickly. As well as the original clients, we acted for two further buyers of former Humberts businesses.
The clients we acted for included Calcutt Maclean Standen (East kent, West Kent and Lettings Ltd), Fox and Manwaring Limited and Weald Property Management Limited.
The businesses and their employees were saved and are now continuing to serve their clients in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
